Every story has a beginning, and this one starts in a dimly lit high school classroom — not out in the field with a camera in hand, but behind a computer monitor, studying the theory behind the craft. Long before JJM Photography ever showed up to a client shoot, there was a curious student picking apart the fundamentals: how light behaves, how composition draws the eye, what separates a good photo from a forgettable one. That curiosity didn’t stay confined to textbooks and screens for long — nights were spent studying photographers who’d mastered their craft, and days were spent testing that knowledge out with whatever camera was on hand. Theory slowly became practice, and practice slowly became skill.

Over time, that skill found its way into the real world. What started as a high schooler’s learning project grew into real shoots with real people — portraits, events, and eventually businesses and clients who needed more than just a photo.
